New Ability: How To Fly In Minecraft

Sandbox phenomenon Minecraft will soon add a flying cape, allowing players to soar around their worlds.

When you’re on the ground, the cape folds up, and you can’t craft it-it’s a finders-only thing.

Minecraft maven Jens Bergensten (the game’s lead developer for the past four years) tweeted yesterday about a “dramatic feature, likely out in the next snapshot”. Hence, it can only be found and picked up in the massive world of the game. The cape springs open like a pair of wings when it is being used mid-flight. Developers are set to add a magic cape to enable the ability on the title’s PC version through its next snapshot update, and it will presumably be included on consoles a few time in the near future.

After Microsoft’s takeover of the Minecraft franchise, more major changes like this are surely on their way.

This morning, it was announced that a new mode of transportation would be coming to Minecraft.

However, unlike the main series “Minecraft: Story Mode” is not appropriate for young gamers, Mirror United Kingdom reports.
