Carlo Ancelotti: ‘Angel di Maria is a team player’
Ronaldo is now part of Real folklore after joining Raul as the club’s record ever goalscorer and Ancelotti thinks he ail find it hard to turn his back on that.
Cristiano Ronaldo is already a sports icon, entrepreneur and successful model, and now the 30-year-old can add yet another accolade to his ever-growing empire. Over the Summer the pair was spotted vacationing in the Bahamas where Cristiano Jr. could be seen doing tricks with the soccer ball on the beach.
However Ancelotti, the man Benitez replaced at the Bernabeu, has had his say on the 30-year-olds future and thinks Ronaldo will stay with Real for the remainder of his career.
“I’ve always liked smaller, more technically gifted players because I was one”, he explained at the Aspire4Sport Congress in Berlin.
Spain legend Raul, now with New York Cosmos, hit 323 goals in 741 appearances for Real between 1994 and 2010, while Ronaldo has taken a mere 308 games to reach the mark.
On the other hand, the superstar forward himself reached a milestone scoring his 500th and 501st career goal at the age of 30. He will never be a player who can make a team, or who is concerned that the team plays well, he is just anxious about finishing. “The fashion show demonstrated how you can wear each different style and the art display really showcased each piece beautifully”.
“There is no debate, nobody is at Messi’s level”, he said. If I were Karim, I’d also be angry at being taken off when I thought I was playing well and was on a great run of form.
