New Rocky Horror Show gets BBC America premiere date
In honor of four decades of midnight screenings and sing-a-longs, the main cast, including Susan Sarandon, Tim Curry, Barry Bostwick, Patricia Quinn and Meat Loaf, have reunited for the first time in over 25 years. Susan Sarandon played Janet, who quickly embraces her sexuality & joins in on the musical numbers.
“The Rocky Horror Show is a piece of our collective, pop-culture consciousness”, Sarah Barnett, the network’s president and general manager, said in a statement. The film’s stars – Susan Sarandon, 69, Barry Bostwick, 70, Tim Curry, 69, Meat Loaf, 68, and Patricia Quinn, 71 – came together to talk about their experiences in making the biggest midnight movie in history!
While the film is fondly remembered by fans and the cast, Sarandon admitted it had its difficulties – even leaving her battling illness. That was leaking and open.
“And it was December, January”. “The thing that resonated for me more than anything was, ‘Don’t dream it, be it, ‘” Curry said.

Explaining the cross-dressing mad scientist was originally meant to be German, he added: “One day I was on a London bus and I heard a woman say, ‘Do you have a house or a house in the country?'” “And I think that’s what people respond to”. “I had on a garter belt with fishnet stockings and high-heel shoes”.
Crown Uptown Theatre’s new version of “The Rocky Horror Show” has a circus theme that may surprise purists of the popular cult musical spoof that crosses Frankenstein with old sci-fi movies but also delight others who find clowns dark and deliciously disturbing.
The cult classic, a humorous tribute to the science fiction and “B” horror movies of the late 1940s to the early 1970s, features music, lyrics and a book by Richard O’Brien.
