The team eventually found the pair and helped them separate, though they could unite to form the fire-powered nuclear crime-fighter Firestorm. “I think the lone wolf thing [with Barry] you’ll see a lot and it works for Caitlin in the beginning of the season”. I’m looking forward to “The Flash’s” second season. That’s exciting watching Barry as he learns to master a few of these new talents.

Despite Barry confessing his feelings for Iris (in the real, not alternate time line), it seems like they won’t be together when we first see them. What inspired him to do that? That’s true even in the last 15 years or so since the genre became big and serious business at the box-office (thanks, “X-Men”) and the WB scored with “Smallville”. Tricked, betrayed and feeling powerless to the hands of fate after all that he went through with Dr. Wells aka Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanagh) last season, Barry feels the need to redeem himself and to not risk the lives of those he loves any further.

The premiere introduces Jay Garrick. In the second episode, Barry “discovers a new aspect of his powers” and that it will involve lightning. Henry will continue to be part of the show in the same capacity. “We’ll kind of see pieces of what happened with the Singularity when we come back and how it affected all of the characters”.

We mentioned before, Teddy Sears will play the recurring role of Jay Garrick, the Silver Age Flash. Jay represents more of an older brother.

Barry has to deal with knowing he wasn’t fast enough to save the day, and that he lost a friend.

Barry ultimately relented and allowed his friends to join the battle against Atom Smasher. Those three were no end of trouble to the STAR squad, kidnapping various team members and, in the finale, letting all of the imprisoned metas loose.
