David Tennant is a creepy stalker in the new Jessica Jones trailer
After all, if you have superhero powers, you should at least be able to drink your enemies under the table.
Netflix has been releasing teaser trailers here and there for Marvel’s Jessica Jones, but there was no sign of Tennant. The latest teaser featuring Jessica piecing together photos while the Purple Man gives his villain spiel is no exception and has fans of the comic ready to burst.
“I know everything”, he declares as Jones posts clues on a wall and slams the door to the office on her way out, most likely to walk into a handful of other needlessly tiresome teaser trailers before the show drops on Netflix on November 20. “I know about your friends”. He turned purple after getting doused with a chemical (similar to the Joker in Tim Burton’s Batman).
Perhaps even more scary is the thought that Killgrave probably won’t get defeated at the end of the first season of Jessica Jones: reports recently surfaced that he’ll also be the big bad guy on the separate Luke Cage series. It’s also the first time we actually get to hear one of the characters speak.
Taking place after a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, the new series follows Jessica Jones as she rebuilds her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.
Rosenberg will be shepherding the series through the Netflix deal with Marvel and ABC Studios.
