Oklahoma City Thunder – Kevin Durant & Russell Westbrook Look Ready To Take
Kevin Durant played publicly in Oklahoma for the first time since undergoing season ending foot surgery in March. “The 6’10” scoring machine looked true to form last night as he dropped in 15 points in 22 minutes to lead the Thunder in a win over the Timberwolves 122-99. “I think it was a little different”.
Thunder coach Billy Donovan was a guest on SirusXM National Basketball Association Radio with Frank Isola and Mitch Lawrence on Tuesday and was asked about Kevin Durant’s impending free agency.
Durant had not played since February 19 because of a broken right foot. He missed the final 28 games of the season, and it was tough for him seeing his teammates struggle from the sidelines. I haven’t been in my routine in a while as far as going to shootaround, taking my nap, getting to the game.
He said: “One thing I’d say about Russell, it’s incredible when you’re out there on the court with him, he’s been in the league for a while but the stuff that I’m throwing out at him on offense, he knows his position and he knows the four other positions and I think that speaks volumes how cerebral a guy he is out there on the court, how much he sees”.
“I sit here today incredibly offended by the personal attack that this man has put against me”, said the 47-year-old sports writer, as reported by TMZ. So, for a team as desperate to improve as the Knicks after winning just 17 games last season, they’ll be more than eager to pursue Durant with that kind of money next summer.
“I think that there’s a possibility that could happen”.
Smith ended the rant by addressing Durant with the words “you do not want to make an enemy out of me” twice.
In similarly ridiculous news, Durant’s Thunder buddy Russell Westbrook tallied 14 points, 13 assists and eight rebounds in 22 minutes because he’s simply not from this Earth.
