Brad Paisley: ‘God bless the Ashley Madison website hack’
Paul Simon and Brad Paisley were both involved in the 2015 Country Music Hall of Fame All for the Hall benefit.
Other highlights of the sold-out NYC show included Paisley and Underwood singing “Remind Me”, Gill’s version of “Go Rest High on That Mountain”, Simon’s “The Sound of Silence” and “The Boxer” and Harris’ “The Ship on His Arm”, among others. “Previous year was tough, wasn’t it?” he said, with Underwood by his side. “Somehow we found a amusing monologue in the middle of all of that, but it took surgery to do it”. This election has been just awesome. They give us soundbites… “God bless”, he said.
The Ashley Madison hack revealed tens of millions of customers identities from the website whose slogan is “Life is brief”.
Following Brad and Carrie’s monologue, the must-not-miss open continues with the debut performance of Eric Church and Hank Williams, Jr.’s collaboration on Hank’s new single “Are You Ready for the Country”. And Harris added, “We built our careers on cheating songs”.
All for the Hall New York 2015 raised more than $150,000 for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s education department. However all eyes have been on Carrie Underwood for the second, who put on a long-legged show with her short & zesty orange dress.
“I’m honored to get to do what I love, get to be on stage and make music”.
“This is a dream I have”, he said of performing at the star studded event.
The CMA Awards are November 4 in Nashville.
