Legendary Musician Said Something Unbelievable About Israel, And Howard Stern
Howard Stern probably shouldn’t expect Roger Waters to make a guest appearance on the shock-jock’s show anytime soon, not after absolutely lambasting the former Pink Floyd frontman for his anti-Israel activism.
Waters accused Israel of being an apartheid state and lent his support to the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
Nearly 55,000 people packed out Tel Aviv’s Hayarkon Park for Bon Jovi’s show last weekend.
The PLO said in a statement that it “strongly condemns” Stern’s “inflammatory statements” and called Waters a “human rights activist”.
In the letter, Waters speaks of “Israeli oppression of Palestinians” and he links to several accusations of abhorrent behavior on the part of Jews in Israel. He can’t f*****g deal with it. He’s writing letters to Bon Jovi…where do you want the Jews to go, Roger?…
Stern, who is Jewish and an open supporter of Israel, at one point inferred that Waters would be happy if they resettled the Jewish people on the “dark side of the moon”, in reference to the Pink Floyd album.
The PLO also accused the radio host of using his show to “espouse vitriolic and genocidal views against Arabs and, in particular, Palestinians”. Give them a little homeland on a desert where there’s no water, where essentially no one could live.
“The Palestinians are these Arabs that could live in Egypt, that could live in Saudi Arabia, but guess what? Those countries don’t want them either”, said Stern, his voice rising. “So they have a country, and Israel has a tiny little country and it bugs the shit out of Roger Waters”. “It’s unclear if the rock star knew that shortly before the concert began, two Israeli men were stabbed to death and a toddler was wounded by a Palestinian attacker in Jerusalem”, The Blaze noted about the Jon Bon Jovi concert in Israel. He wrote that they “stand shoulder to shoulder with the settler who burned the baby”.
