‘Arrow’ Season 4 Premiere: 17 Shocking Moments from ‘Green Arrow’
Arrow has returned, my friends, and what a doozy of a premiere it was!
How did you like the season premiere? The only reason Oliver concedes to going back is because Felicity says it’s the right thing to do. The final speech from Oliver announcing that he is now the Green Arrow gave me goosebumps. Laurel, Diggle, and Thea are teamed up and defending Star City in the wake of Ray Palmer’s death and dealing with a crew of mercenaries they have dubbed Ghosts. Oliver thought he had the edge, but Dark’s powers really outmatched the Arrow team and I’m curious about how they plan to take him down in future episodes.
But not all is well in Star City as Diggle still feels animosity towards Oliver for kidnapping his wife and child during his stint with R’as Al Ghul last season. Diggle is against the idea and says that they can handle things without Oliver. The team shows up to the baddies hideout and they see the man from earlier imtimitalking (yep I just made that up) to his team.
But that wasn’t the only holy crap moment of episode.
But who is it? He likes what he has with Felicity. Upon Oliver’s return, John Diggle tells him that he was unwelcome to the team.
Season 4 sets off a chain of events that will take our heroes on a perilous journey to eradicate this latest evil intent on infecting and conquering their city. He’s a bit more colorful, a bit more fun and is very unsafe and commanding and leads an army of followers who would die at his command. That could all change, of course, but who is it? Diggle seems to think he’s no worse than Oliver once was, but how long before she gets much worse? And all that talk about kids?
The next day, Oliver tried to talk to Thea about her newfound aggressiveness, but Thea refused his help, and continued their search for any sign of cluster bombs around the station. “His casting did create a glimmer of hope, and I’m glad to find that both his performance and the writing for Darhk delivered”. Now, in this meta-human infused world it’s nice to see these villains finally showing up on Arrow. The premiere revealed that he’s unwillingly helping him. “Arrow” loves ending its episodes on cheap cliffhangers.
Speedy makes a big impact in Star City. Ted Kord is the man behind this one, and he’s the coolest version of the Blue Beetle, a character I’m still really hoping we get to see one of these days.
This isn’t Starling City and he’s not the Arrow. It’s really more coming from where Oliver is as a character.
So what’s the verdict? There’s also the huge revelation later in the episode that Captain Lance (Paul Blackthorne) is actually in Darhk’s back pocket. While the actual finale is pretty poor, I am excited for what Neal McDonough can bring to the table. I’m very much looking forward to the next episode. “I am the Green Arrow”. The episode is called, “The Candidate”. Who do you think will die in six months? What’s your verdict? Share your comments below. Stay tuned. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here.
Oliver cooks Felicity a attractive dinner.
Thea: “This is so cool!” We really do arc stuff out in groups of nine.
Diggle: “A red arrow?”
– “Felicity Smoak, you have failed this omelette”, is that so meta it’s amusing or so amusing it’s meta? Kreisberg, Mericle and executive producer Marc Guggenheim all promise that this season will be full of happy “Olicity” moments. Nawww. We see Oliver trying to stop a drug pusher, getting shoved off the roof, and then being approached by Amanda Waller.
Who do you think is “Arrow’s” next casualty? “You brought madness into all our lives, and the monster you were inspired monsters”. Oliver is being forced to go back to Lian Yu. “I owe Laurel fifty bucks”.
Meanwhile, Lance, Laurel and Thea managed to get everyone to evacuate the station.
Oliver: “Ra’s stabbed her… right over there”. Oliver starts dishing out orders and forgets that times have changed. But this time, things are different: he’s no longer Arrow, but Green Arrow. Barry’s sorry he missed the funeral because of Zoom. Domestication vs Darkness, kind of like we all battle…or a few of us. But now I know it’s not my fault.
Barry: “Is there anything I can do?”
