Dodgers’ Vin Scully to Miss Postseason After Medical Procedure
Well this sucks… the Dodgers just announced legendary broadcaster Vin Scully will miss working the playoffs after undergoing a medical procedure Thursday morning. The Dodgers said in a statement that Scully was “resting comfortably” following the procedure.
Scully is a baseball institution and announced earlier this season he will return to broadcast Dodgers games in 2016 for his 67th season.
Los Angeles Dodgers play-by-play announcer Vin Scully will miss the 2015 postseason, according to a team announcement.
“Everyone in the Dodgers organization wishes Vin the speediest of recoveries”, the news release stated.
This regular season, Scully’s only road games called were two of the club’s three series in San Francisco against the Giants.
Unfortunately, we won’t be treated to the voice of Vin Scully this postseason.
The NL West champion Dodgers face the NL East champion New York Mets in the NL Division Series starting Friday.
