Judge won’t dismiss woman’s molestation suit against Cosby

Cosby is scheduled to be deposed in the case on Friday and had requested that his testimony be sealed to the public.

Attorney Gloria Allred, who now represents Huth, had been fighting the effort to bar disclosure of the details of the deposition.

“I have chosen to relive the ordeal of this deeply traumatic attack to expose the truth and bring justice for all the victims of sexual assault across the nation”, Goins, one of about 50 women who’ve claimed Cosby sexually abused them, said in a statement. Last week, she said, she was barred from discussing it, including its location. Many of those women have alleged the comedian drugged them before nonconsensual sexual acts.

Unlike the A&E special that aired in September and featured individual interviews with 13 of Cosby’s accusers, the “Dateline” special will function more like one giant group interview, facilitated by NBC News correspondent Kate Snow.

He added: “We are confident that when all the facts come out Mr Cosby will have to answer for his actions to not only my client but all the women he has devastated”.

Previously, the comedian’s attorney Martin Singer had called Huth’s allegations false and “defamatory”.

A California judge on Wednesday (Oct 7) refused to throw out a lawsuit filed by a woman who claims comedian Bill Cosby sexually assaulted her when she was 15. The outpouring of claims and lawsuits by women against Cosby have tarnished the once coveted family friendly comedian, causing him to lose jobs as well as honorary degrees and forced resignations of stature from boards such as the Board of Trustees for Temple University.

Cosby’s attorneys contend that Huth once tried to sell her story to the National Enquirer and that it is “absolutely false”.

Cosby’s attorneys have not commented on her lawsuit. What makes the model’s claims particularly different than most of the others is her age and when she claims the assault took place.
