Formula One can survive Red Bull walkout, says Wolff
If there is a thought of three auto formula one teams next season, then squads like Sauber, Force India and Manor would get together a total sum of 42 million dollars estimated to strengthen their low budget teams, thanks to the loss of both Red Bull sponsored teams.
“We can’t wait until Christmas, so we will see in a few more weeks if we get a decision or an outcome”.
Both Mercedes and Ferrari are reluctant to help Red Bull out?
Max Verstappen insists he has no concerns over his Formula 1 future despite the speculation suggesting Red Bull chief Dietrich Mateschitz is poised to pull the plug on his teams.
Two years ago, Red Bull was unbeatable in Formula One.
While a deal with Ferrari is expected, there have been plenty of warnings about what could otherwise happen and Red Bull’s billionaire owner Deitrich Mateschitz has set a deadline for the end of this month.
Even though Ricciardo would be left in an awkward position if Red Bull would pull out, odds are that somebody with his talents wouldn’t be unemployed for long.
Toro Rosso’s Sainz said he was confident the teams will be on the grid next season. “But I keep telling them, “Please continue working and don’t worry about things you can not control”.
“I have not seen that with any other team”. “If we get a few more horsepower we’ll be further up the grid”.
“When you don’t have something at the rear at this stage of the year, it’s a bit tricky, but I have full trust they will come to a solution, to an agreement”.
Consequently, the team is considering ventures other than F1 for its workforce. With a break-up from Renault seemingly a formality to be dealt with, neither Mercedes nor Ferrari appear to be willing to equip their rival with their strong power units.
“I would say that, definitely, losing Red Bull and Toro Rosso like that would not be good for F1”, said Wolff. Red Bull simply is getting what they deserved because they did not have another option after they impatiently decided that they were fed up with Renault instead of trying to figure out the problem. I know that negotiations are ongoing, but not with us.
