Abducted Rio Rancho teen found safe in Indiana

Police in Rio Rancho, NM have put out an Amber Alert for 16-year-old Andrea Lucero. She’s missing from Rio Rancho, New Mexico and may be with Joe Medina, 37, who’s described as being 6-foot-1, 220 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Indiana State Police received word from Missouri State Police that the bus would be making its next stop in Indianapolis and that they would find both on board. He said investigators saw that the pair had interacted on Facebook at least once, and that made them hesitate initially to issue a full-scale Amber Alert. She left home Thursday and has not been seen since. He has a goatee.

Authorities believe Medina is traveling through Colorado with Andrea in a dark gray 2011 Lexus convertible with license plate 188 RFK.

The missing girl is identified as Andrea Lucero, 16, from Rio Rancho, N.M. The police description reads that Lucero is 98 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, as pictured below.
