Is one of our favourite dead characters coming back for season 6?
The sixth installment of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” will air on April 2016. Another fan favorite has been seen walking around the set.
Bean has already denied that he will appear in “Game of Thrones” season 6, but fans of the series are still hoping that Ned Stark will appear in flashbacks.
So it seems confusing that reports now suggest Sibel Kekilli, the actress who played Shae, has been spotted filming alongside other cast members in the Spanish town of Peñíscola, which is the setting for Meereen in the show. In one of the images the actress was seen in deep conversation with Conleth, 50, and co-producer David Benioff.
Ever since Kit Harington’s beloved character, Jon Snow, was skewered by his brothers of the Night’s Watch in the previous season of “Game of Thrones” people have been clamoring to bring him back.
The death of Shae, Kekilli’s character, was somewhat controversial. He then took Joffrey’s (Jack Gleeson) crossbow and went on to murder his father in the privy after the latter called Shae a “whore” several times.
Of course there is the usual conspiracy theory of zombie castings, but she doesn’t look very dead to us in the pictures, so what if, and remember that Tyrion did not stick around long enough to start checking pulses, she never died in the first place?
Meanwhile, Sean Bean has also been reportedly spotted on the set, leading a few to believe that he is involved in “Game of Thrones” season 6.
Actress Melanie Liburd posted an announcement on Instagram that she would appear in the new season of “Game of Thrones”. It’s unclear how the show will bring her back into the storyline. Since Tyrion has allied himself with the red priestesses, Varys, who does not like magic, returns to Westeros.
The story arc for season 6 has not yet been released, and the good news is that it seems familiar faces will be gracing the forthcoming season of “Game of Thrones”.
