Missing hash browns, regional menus, more to know — McDonald’s all-day breakfast
McDonald’s officially added breakfast to its menu in 1977.
A Buzzfeed reporter in New York noticed that his local McDonald’s was not serving hash browns after 10.30, meaning customers would end up pairing their Egg Muffin with fries.
That means that when you send a request, your Uber driver will stop at a participating McDonald’s to pick up a fresh breakfast each and every time one is requested.
It’s here at last, McDonald’s is now serving breakfast all day long.
Tuesday morning, the restaurant Tweeted: “Shouts to everyone tryna offer breakfast all day…shoot your shot”. “I can eat it any time”.
Indeed, McDonald’s United States of America vice president of operations, Wendell Sconiers notes, “This is an opportunity for us to say, ‘We hear you”. “We have gotten nothing but compliments”. All-day breakfast menus items may vary with locations.
Besides Egg McMuffins, customers can now order Sausage McMuffins, hot cakes, hash browns and oatmeal all day long.
“The only potential risk is it’s a growth opportunity, but it could cannibalize other menu items”, she said.
McDonald’s spokeswoman Lisa McComb calls the problem a “restaurant configuration issue” and says “there may be another solution in the future”. “A lot of businesses are opened 24 hours now”.
The jury is still out after the first day, but many people are quite excited that they do not have to rush to get to McDonald’s before the 10:30 a.m. cut-off time.
“It provides convenience”, Wade said.
But in July, McDonald’s made its intentions clear, when they told franchisees to prepare for a potential, but not set-in-stone, nationwide roll-out of the all-day breakfast menu this fall. He said he was surprised to see the all-day menu on display.
