Molina Passes Tests, Will Play In Division Series
The St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs are meeting in the postseason this year for the first time ever.
Specifically Yadier Molina who suffered a ligament injury on his left hand.
Mike Matheny announced the Cardinals’ 25-man roster for the National League Division Series against the Chicago Cubs after a Thursday afternoon workout at Busch Stadium. After all, he was probably subjected to them over and over again while he recovered from a torn Achilles’ tendon this season. General manager John Mozeliak said the 34-year-old, a two-time 20-game victor, will be available to work multiple innings and perhaps on consecutive days. The pain’s going to be there.
“I’m going to all three games in St. Louis”.
Cameron Papp of StubHub told WGN-TV he thinks ticket prices will remain high up to game time because of the popularity of the two teams.
Lefty Tyler Lyons will be in the bullpen after impressive outings down the stretch. “I want everybody there to understand that we don’t start stuff, but we will stop stuff”, Cubs manager Joe Maddon said.
Expected in the lineup for Game 1 are Grichuk in right field and Piscotty at first.
The Cardinals left first baseman Matt Adams, infielder Pete Kozmaby and relievers Randy Choate and Steve Cishek off their NLDS roster.
