NFL Fantasy Football: Week 5 quarterback rankikngs
As promised this article is the revelation of my Daily Fantasy football lineup for week 5 of the NFL season. The short and simple answer is yes. Regardless if it is A.J. Look to pick up these players in your league, they will be excellent bench player or in a few cases bona fide starters. He hasn’t proven he is worthy of anything more than rotational use in the National Football League so far, but Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden are a long ways from locking up the touches in Dallas. If you need WR depth, and believe in Blake Bortles, knock yourself out. Below are standouts that should be available in your league and are worthy of picking up if they are. Freeman had 68 yards rushing in the game with three touchdowns against the Texans and he also added five catches for 81 yards for a strong game overall. He added 16 yards rushing to finish as a QB1 for the 4 straight week. Dalton and the Bengals host the Seahawks. There was optimism that Jeffery would play last week, so it seems likely that he’s closer to playing this week.
Hasn’t been his best but the game he was his best he threw 3 TDs against the defending champs. Harris is one of the league’s premier shut-down corners and has only allowed a combined 4.6 total fantasy points to split end receivers like Cooper all season. But if you take a few time to brush up on players and upcoming matchups, you’ll be able to identify the guys who are primed for big games and others who are destined for duds. Hill is splitting time with Bernard in the backfield, but both RBs are worth playing every week.
Allen Hurns, WR, Jaguars: Honestly, I’m not interested in any Jacksonville receiver not named Allen Robinson.

Bennett caught fire against the Raiders this week and reeled in 11-of-13 targets for 83 yards and a touchdown, stats any fantasy owner would love to have from a TE. After missing Week 3 with a hamstring injury, Murray returned in Week 4 to run eight times for 36 yards in a loss to Washington. New England’s DST has surrendered the third-most fantasy points on average to quarterbacks this season, but Brandon Weeden hasn’t proved he can beat anyone.
How gratifying it must have been for Gurley owners to see the rookie lay waste to the Cardinals’ defense in the late stages of the Rams’ upset win in Arizona on Sunday. But arm strength isn’t among Vick’s myriad shortcomings, and you just know that Vick is going to take at least one deep shot with Bryant when the Steelers face the Chargers in San Diego on Monday night. Keep reading for more information. But that’s the way it has been going for the 4-0 Falcons this season. Matty Ice is turning the former Redskin into a reliable fantasy performer.
There has been much debate about Peyton Manning’s arm strength. What won’t be there, however, is a high ownership percentage.
Last season’s Chiefs ranked 29th in passing yards and 28th in attempts. But I do at least try to offer fair and equal value. Ivory converted the second-highest carry total of his career (29) into 166 yards and 22 fantasy points against the Dolphins’ porous run defense. I have no idea which one will go off this week but I’m confident one of them will. But Week 5 brings a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, who have not allowed an offensive touchdown with Kam Chancellor on the field in their last 18 quarters.
Speaking of second impressions, St. Louis Rams rookie running back Todd Gurley had an encouraging second career game on Sunday, scoring 15 fantasy points on 19 carries without the benefit of a touchdown. Despite scoring three times in Week 3, he was owned on just 8.6% of teams in Week 4. He’ll try to get back on track next week against the Titans suspect defense. My misses on the sit’em side were much bigger with Vincent Jackson (+12) having his first good game of the season and Doug Martin (+11) having his first good game in a couple of years.
Although fantasy owners generally have job security, no one wants to see their season slip away this early. Daniels plays over 80 percent of the Broncos’ offensive snaps and averages over five targets per game, not normally outstanding numbers for fantasy opportunities. Jones isn’t just fitting in and taking up a roster space, he leads the Packers in receiving yards and touchdown grabs through four games of play even over Randall Cobb. He didn’t even reach the 10-yard mark, so his only points came for those in PPR leagues.
Need a Wide Receiver? Opponents have tallied 67 fantasy points on rushing plays alone against the Browns, the third-most afforded by any team.
