Bruce Forsyth suffers concussion after a fall
As well hitting his head which gave him a concussion he suffered a few cuts and has been forced to pull out of Bruce’s Hall Of Fame, a TV show he was slated to host on Sunday.
Brucie was due to present his variety show Bruce’s Hall Of Fame at the London Dominion Theatre this weekend, but has had to cancel after being rushed to hospital, say Press Association.
The statement added that a “series of tests happily proved negative”, so no doubt Sir Bruce will be back on his feet in no time…
Sir Bruce’s agent Ian Wilson told the Mirror: “Bruce is shaken and stirred”.
‘But he is a lucky man really because he fell and he is alright.
The 87-year-old showbiz veteran was admitted to hospital following the fall and has been told by doctors to rest for at least a week. Alexander Armstrong, who was also set to appear on the show, will now be taking over as compere in Forsyth’s absence.
However, we would guess that sitting around at home doing nothing does not appeal to Sir Bruce, so it’s fortunate for him then that he’s not often required to do so…
“I’ll feel very unusual and I’ll miss it like mad, but when you’ve been with something for 10 years that will happen”.
Charlotte Moore, controller at BBC One, said everyone at the BBC wished the star a speedy recovery.
Bruce’s Hall Of Fame will be screened in the New Year.
Since stepping down from presenting Strictly Come Dancing previous year, The TV personality has been able to spend more time with wife Wilnelia.
The show first aired with an overnight rating of 3.85 million viewers last Christmas.
In October 2013, he had to pull out of hosting the live show alongside Tess Daly after being taken ill with flu.
