Nick Gordon could face murder charges for Bobbi Kristina Brown
Nick Gordon and his legal team are begging an Atlanta court to halt the Bobbi Kristina wrongful death lawsuit brought against him by the conservator of Bobbi Kristina’s estate.
Brown’s family has already made it clear they strongly believe he is behind the death of Bobbi Kristina and he has fought to maintain his innocence.
Bedelia Hargrove filed the lawsuit, claiming Gordon, 25, is responsible for his former girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death. It has also been said that he could be arrested and charged with murder any day now. Gordon’s legal team has suggested these allegations were supposed to hurt their client emotionally and create a “racial animus” against him.
But, he stressed that he simply can’t defend himself since the individuals that have filed this suit are the same people who are actively seeking a criminal prosecution for grounds of “refusal to incriminate himself”.
NICK Gordon wants the $40 million wrongful death lawsuit against him to be put on hold.
According to the Fulton County District Attorney’s office, “the case remains open and under investigation”, which means potentially supportive evidence to Gordon’s case may still be unknown. The motion claims that because of the high profiles of Brown and her famous parents, Houston and Bobby Brownthe 24-year-old has become the victim of negative media attention that would make him “unfairly, legally and financially prejudiced should he be subject to parallel criminal and civil proceedings”.
She was found unresponsive in her bathtub roughly six months before. He is accused of giving the 22-year-old a deadly cocktail that left her unconscious before he allegedly left her facedown in a tub.
Documents say it “would be used to defend and lead to the dismissal of the allegations made against him in this civil proceeding”.
