Mulayam says perpetrators of Muzaffarnagar riots involved in Dadri lynching also
“Even if we have to sacrifice the government, we will take stern action against the culprits once the names are clear”, says Mulayam.
Stating that the unfortunate incident was a “pre-planned” conspiracy, Yadav said that he was aware of the fact that there were three people of a specific party who had hatched the conspiracy.
“The whole incident was a part of a larger conspiracy to disrupt peace and harmony in the state”, he added while saying that he will “share the names with his chief minister son Akhilesh Yadav and ensure that the guilty are brought to justice”.
“I will ask the chief minister to initiate serious action against those behind this conspiracy”, he said, warning the perpetrators that they will stand exposed.
Communal harmony is being maintained through peace committees and regular meetings, he said. “We are examining these names and would reveal them soon”.
The BJP leader said both Mulayam and Akhilesh Yadav were trying to communalise the situation to hide their own failures in tackling law and order.
Dubbing Mr Akhlaq’s family “cow killers”, Mr Som said the government of Uttar Pradesh had “taken them away in an airplane, the way they did with the conspirators of the Muzaffarnagar riots”. “I had my experiences and he would have his but I would tell him that mere talks would not solve these things, such forces have to be crushed” he added.
“That is why there is anger among the people, who have lost confidence in the Samajwadi Party government”. He, however, did not take the names. “We would crush these communal forces even if it means sacrificing my government” said Mulayam.
The incident triggered a huge outcry across the country with the opposition parties and prominent citizens accusing the saffron brigade and demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make a statement.
