2 boys missing in Red River Gorge area in Kentucky
According to WKYT, rescue teams searched throughout the night on ground and air around the Red River Gorge.
Michael’s mother said a miscommunication between her husband and her father apparently led to the boys’ disappearance.
Veeneman says one boy is 5 and the other a year or two older, but he doesn’t know if they are related.
“No luck as of this morning”, Veeneman said. Searchers believe the two are lost in the woods and are not believed to be near roadways. A helicopter flew over the area Thursday evening as part of the search.
Wolfe County officials say 5-year-old Michael Esposito and 7-year-old Adrian Ross were last seen Thursday around 6 p.m.at the Koomer Ridge Campground.
Red River Gorge is located about two hours southeast of Louisville and is a popular hiking destination for people across Kentucky.
