De Blasio to visit Israel next week
That’s with its own shock on global climate warming. “That’s wasting a lot of energy”.
Debbie Egan-Chin/New York Daily News De Blasio will deliver the keynote address at the conference – which brings together mayors from all over the world – on the topic “Anti-Semitism in the West: How Cities Must Lead”. More than a dozen groups urged Mayor de Blasio, to reconsider the city’s participation, citing what they called an unfair focus on the activities of law-abiding American Muslims.
This measure is an expansion on an earlier law passed by the City Council, which limited “the co-mingling of indoor and outdoor air” at large-scale chain stores, according to ABC News. Under that law, the corner bodega could still blast its air conditioner with no repercussions. The new legislation removes the size requirement, making this law applicable to businesses of any size.
“I know I’m not the only one who has walked past open doors to feel a blast of cold air pouring out”.
Mayor de Blasio will visit Israel this month and give a speech in Jerusalem, officials announced Thursday.
“We have the greatest public health system in the country, and we will build on the work HHC has been doing for immigrants since its founding to ensure that every New York City resident – young or old, rich or poor – can access the care they need for themselves and their families”. He denounced anti-Semitic violence in Europe at a major New York synagogue and in a trip back in January to Paris following terrorist attacks there. According to that effort, commercial buildings in New York City generate 10 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually, which is 20 percent of the city’s total emissions. Fines can run to $1,000.
Robert S. Bookman, a lawyer who frequently sues the city on behalf of small businesses thinks the regulation is overreaching.
