Kaitlyn Regehr assaulted on London bus tries to find defender on Facebook
To the man on the 207 buss towards Acton last night (the tall, dark, and dapper one with the beard), Thank you for saying something when that man grabbed me.
A woman has launched a social media appeal to track down the “dapper” man who stood up for her following an alleged groping incident on a bus.
According to Kaitlyn’s website, she is “a writer, broadcaster and award-winning documentary filmmaker whose work focuses on contemporary culture”. You made us a community. I am someone’s sister.
Ms Regehr said she had been on the 207 bus since the assault, but she had not seen the man who helped her. I am someone’s sister.
‘There are heroes all around us, ‘ another commented.
Based on her posts to Twitter and other social media sites, it appears that Regehr is still seeking out the helpful gentleman, who spoke up and said something, to buy him that beer.
In the post she wrote: “I thank you not just because you stood up for me, or because you made me feel safe, but because on your transit home – in this big, potentially anonymous city – you humanised assault”.

“It was 10:30 at night, it wasn’t particularly late”, Regehr told BuzzFeed.
“You feel uncomfortable and vulnerable and hope the person deosn’t follow you off but what is rare about this incident is that someone stood up for me”. Do you have a mother, a sister?’, and I was really touched by that, he kind of humanised the situation.
Ms Regehr said: “Someone saw it and he called the guy out loudly enough for the whole bus to hear”. He also said ‘Do you have any women in your life?
She says she has travelled on the bus since but has not yet found her “Good Samaritan”.
Kaitlyn later contacted the police. Instead of keeping quiet, like most people do during sexual assaults on public transportation, another man stood up and said something.
