Red Cross Sending Volunteers to the Carolinas
One of the brightest minds in disaster relief, who is based in Atlanta, has been tapped to help lead disaster relief in flood-ravaged South Carolina.
The devastating events of the past week have brought South Carolinians to their knees, but, incredible tragedy has given way overwhelming support. “We will support our neighbors in the weeks and months ahead just as we know they would help us”. Red Cross and partner organizations are providing food and relief supplies in neighborhoods that have been reopened as residents begin their recovery.
“People can help by making a monetary donation to the Red Cross”.
More than 20 Red Cross shelters are set up across the state.
Three Arkansas American Red Cross volunteers are going to North and South Carolina to help following the flooding.
