1 dead, 3 wounded in shooting at Northern Arizona University
The statement by Executive Director Justin Sherman said the gunman was not a member. The 18-year-old suspected gunman was captured and taken to custody. At least one person was left dead and three others were injured. The deceased student is Colin Brough, according to the paper. Delta Chi national headquarters confirmed that all four victims were brothers of the fraternity. “It appears this was not a targeting of campus”, said NAU police officer Christopher Anderson.
A shooting at Northern Arizona University killed one person and injured three others, the school said on Friday, adding that the suspect was in custody. She and other students are rattled by the incident, she said.
Each of the three survivors had gunshot wounds, according to Fowler.
The Northern Arizona University campus is very shaken up by the incident, according to The Washington Post.
Deputy County Attorney Ammon Barker said Steven Jones could have easily walked away from a fight early Friday and instead retrieved his gun and “went back into the fray”. Police were still interviewing Jones and he had not been booked into jail Friday morning.

Daisy Robinette, a freshman at Northern Arizona University, was co-workers with Brough at the Flagstaff Aquaplex.
“Like many people, I was asleep”, said Ms Brown.
Church says the shooting was not associated with any chapter event.
“We awake this morning to a awful tragedy on our Flagstaff campus”.
This is only the latest public gun-related incident in the U.S., coming during a fierce debate about gun safety in American society.

NAU President Rita Cheng said “hearts are heavy” on campus, and while classes would continue as scheduled, “this is not going to be a normal day”. “A great many people are involved and need to be interviewed a lot of things need to be accomplished before we can release a great many details”, Fowler said. The Oregon shooter was not, however, a student at the college.
Later on Friday, President Obama meets with family members of victims in last week’s campus shooting near Roseburg, Oregon.
