Homeless Florida Man Brings Human Skull to Grocery Store
Earlier this week outside of a Sebastian, Florida Publix grocery store, witnesses saw a homeless man carrying around and talking to what appeared to be a very lifelike human skull, using the skull as a puppet.
According to Indian River County Sheriff spokesman Thomas Raulen, the whole thing was a huge misunderstanding. But now police officers are faced with a greater mystery since they do not know if the body belongs to a known missing person, or how the person died.
He called the police, and when they arrived, the skeletal puppeteer willfully lead police to the side of US-1, where he first found the remains near where he was camping.
The man came across a maintenance worker and this is who he asked to notify police that in the woods across the street there is a human skeleton, and he had the skull. 911 was alerted to the presence of the skull, which reportedly “smelled like death”, after the unidentified individual was seen speaking to the skull and showing it off to customers.
He said he told emergency services: ‘It’s definitely a human skull it’s still got teeth in it. “I’m standing in front of it, but I’m not touching (it)”.

Authorities with the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office determined that the man had found human remains in the wooded area near USA 1 where he was living, the Palm Beach Post reports.
