Google launches Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P
With no information about the roll out in the Indian market, we finally found the pricing of the device while scrolling through the India’s Google Store. These are the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P; both of the new Nexus phones will be the first phones that will run Android Marshmallow out of the box. “Users by the end of the year will be able to opt for a family Google Play Music account costing them $14.99 for six persons”, said a Google spokesperson.
These devices were led off by the company’s new Nexus phones, starting with the flagship Nexus 6P. The Nexus 5X features a 5.2-inch 1080p display with a Snapdragon 808 Hexa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and paired with an Adreno 418 GPU. The LG Nexus 5X has a 5.2 inch screen and has Gorilla Glass 3.
Google’s Nexus line of products is an important showcase for its Android software, which powers more than 80 percent of the world’s smartphones and tablets.
The new Nexus 6P phone is displayed during a Google media event on September 29, 2015 in San Francisco, California. The handset comes in three color options: Aluminum, Graphite, and Frost.
Both phones feature a new fingerprint sensor, Nexus Imprint, which is located on the back and is created to bring increased security features to the new devices.
In the United States, the Nexus 5X is priced at Dollars 379 (about Rs 24,900 for 16GB model) and the Nexus 6P at USD 499 (about Rs 32,800 for 32GB model).
Google also introduced the Pixel C, its first tablet to be fully built in-house. The company didn’t specify the date, but earlier leaks have suggested it will start getting pushed out to new devices on October 5th.
Furthermore, the one-touch payment app on Android devices called Android Pay was also announced with the location widened for its services.
“It’s available on the Google Store and other online retailers for just $35 – way less than most WiFi speakers today”, Lockheimer said.
