Playstation 4 Price To Be Cut To $349 This Friday
Sony Corp. said on Thursday it will cut prices of PlayStation 4 in the US and Canada as it attempts to further bolster sales of the popular videogame console. Clicking on the icon in your library simply brings you to the PlayStation Store and prompts you to download either the full game or the demo and as a NeoGAF member pointed out, Sony wants you to purchase the most expensive version of the game.
The PlayStation 4 prices starting tomorrow will be of $349.99, a $50 drop from the previous $399.99 in the United States.
After Japan got a price cut, gamers expected that this reduced price effect would favor other regions as well.
The PS4 price cut is finally official. With highly anticipated games like Call of Duty: “Black Ops III and Star Wars Battlefront launching soon and blockbuster exclusives like Uncharted 4: “A Thief’s End on the horizon, there has never been a better time to join the PS4 community”. Additionally, the company has confirmed the price drop will be reflected in all the hardware bundles coming out this Holiday season.
Lastly, the National Hockey League 16 PS4 Bundle (500GB HDD) will cost $429.99 CAD (MSRP); but that is only available in Canada. The new prices come into force tomorrow with the release of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, as you’ll be able to pick up a PS4 bundled with the game.
A Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars PS4 bundle will sell for $399.99 and a Star Wars Battlefront bundle will sell for $349.99.
