Benicio del Toro will return for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2
But one of the stars from Guardians of the Galaxy may have let slip the name of a returning face for their next adventure.
The internet came alive yesterday with rumors that Benicio Del Toro would be returning to Guardians of The Galaxy after Zoe Saldana released a video on her husband’s Facebook saying, “I’ll see you on Guardians”. The character seemed to serve his objective already, which was to act as a bridge between Thor: The Dark World and Guardians, and then provide a large swath of exposition regarding Infinity Stones. As it turns out, there is, and his co-star Zoe Saldana has just confirmed it. Along with Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Michael Rooker and Karen Gillan (along with the voice work of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel), it’s now been revealed that del Toro – currently featuring in the wonderful Sicario – is going to be back too. A simple way to basically break the story.
We’ve known that The Collector would be popping up again, and rumour is that he’s set to play a bigger role than before.
Perhaps director James Gunn wants to have more Howard the Duck-based fun with the Oscar-winning actor, after the original movie’s surprise post-credits sting.
While we are very excited about seeing the new Marvel characters joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there are also plenty of Marvel movie sequels to look forward to, with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 being amount the most eagerly anticipated.
