Bills vs. Titans: Game time, live stream, TV coverage
Whatever you wish to call it, the last time the Buffalo Bills were in the playoffs, was January 8, 2000 when they faced off against the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Wildcard game.
Coverage of this game will air on CBS beginning at 1:00 pm ET from Nissan Stadium. For staff predictions, see below. While the Titans are an underrated team, they are by no means superior to the Bills. At the very least, this team should be 3-1. The Bills, with their duo of $100 million men in Mario Williams and Marcell Dareus up front, sacked Manning only once in a 24-10 loss to the Giants last week. Due to unforeseen injuries and self-defeating penalties, the Bills have been highly inconsistent. Buffalo needs to show improvement in this area Sunday. Since the Bills will be without starting running back LeSean McCoy and rookie RB Karlos Williams, veteran Boobie Dixon will get the call.
The Bills are 2-1 when they score first this season. He has completed 63.5% of his passes for 833 yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions. Success with Bishop Sankey, Antonio Andrews and Dexter McCluster would take a lot of pressure off of Mariota, and slow Buffalo’s pass rush down. Making another statement on the road, Buffalo will solidify the team’s third win of the season. The Titans have a better than advertised defense, but, in the end the edge goes to the more talented roster which in this case, is the Bills. The Colts won 35-33.
Mariota has exceed expectations so far this season, but he’s yet to face a defense of Buffalo’s caliber.
On paper, the stout Bills defensive line should be able to quell the Titans’ running game.
According to oddsmakers fromonline sports book BetDSI, the Titans are 1-point home underdogs versus the Bills while the total now sits at 41.5 points. He’s cut the field in half, mostly goes with a three-step drop, and prefers for Mariota to get the ball out quickly and on the first or second read.
And on top of all that, Tennessee’s coming off their bye week a clear advantage for the home team.
A loss to the Titans and their rookie QB would send the Bills already sinking ship completely under.
These teams haven’t met since 2012, but the Titans have won five straight meetings.
– Equally as big a matchup is how the Bills game plan for defensive tackle Jurrell Casey, who is one of the best players in the league no one has heard of.
If the Titans don’t want to do that, I think they could do what the Indianapolis Colts did on Thursday vs the Houston Texans and JJ Watt.
