Why Liverpool Fans Will Love Jurgen Klopp
After days of speculation, Liverpool FC have finally announced the signing of Jurgen Klopp as club’s new manager.
“All the people tell me so much about the British press so it is up to you (the media) to show me they are all liars”. We think so, and here are FIVE reasons why! That is my job. They have presented to me a very clear vision and I share their ambitions and model of work. We talked about it, of course, but I am not an idiot. I don’t want to spend money we don’t have. “And it is not so bad a thing to be a friend of mine”.
Former Borussia manager Jurgen Klopp is now the new Liverpool manager, after signing a three-year deal worth £15m with the club.
He also thanked Liverpool’s American owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) for appointing him and said he was happy to work with their transfer committee, which oversees the club’s recruitment strategy. He twice won the Bundesliga with a squad that cost far less than Bayern Munich’s crop at the time and took the club to the Champions League final too. Can Klopp get the best from him? “Expectations can be a real big problem”.
Klopp’s first match in charge as Liverpool boss is away at Tottenham in the Premier League on October 17. We need to make a team for this game. You have to change doubters to believers. “We have to change our performance because nobody is satisfied at the moment”.
Following Brendan Rodgers’ sacking on Sunday, the whole of English press had gone into overdrive over who could be the next manager at Anfield.
‘I’m surprised because first of all for me it’s very sad. We only want to discuss good players, at the highest level. “If you come to the game, you want to see fighting spirit, many shots and the result is only the result of these things”. I had two special clubs and this role is the flawless next step for me to try to help.
“It’s really easy to handle this”.
“Scots, Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italians work successfully here so why not Germans?”
“This is a great club with real potential”.
Liverpool’s new manager Jurgen Klopp says he will bring exciting football to Anfield that will be “emotional and full-throttle”.
“It is only important we play our own game, let the players feel the confidence and the trust of the people”. I was a very, very average player.
