The Asus ZenPad S 8.0 lands in the USA for $200
One of the many ZenPad tablets Asus made official at an event last month is now up for purchase in the US. That’s changed for customers in the U.S.as the Asus ZenPad S 8.0 price is now listed at $199.
Asus has at least two different models of the Asus ZenPad S 8.0 tablet. It’s packing a 64-bit, 1.83 gigahertz Intel Atom Z3530 Quad-Core processor and up to 2GB of RAM. Now, the 8-inch device is up for sale on Best Buy for $200.
The Zenpad, which is housed in a metallic body, is 0.33-inches thick with rounded edges that Asus claims supplies a extra snug grip.
“ZenPad S 8.0 offers the premium ZenPad experience, delivering ultimate style and beauty together with extreme performance”, noted the tablet’s press release. This has a 7-inch 1024×600 (almost HD, haha) display, powered by a 1.1Ghz Intel Atom x3-C3200 processor. The display resolution of the tablet is 2,048 x 1,536 pixels with 324ppi.
Asus claims the Zenpad gets up to 9 hours of battery life. Whilst the MicroSD card slot might seem to make the issue of internal storage somewhat irrelevant, it’s important to explain that internal memory is best for installing the majority of applications to and reserving the MicroSD expansion memory for media such as videos, pictures and music. At simply 0.sixty nine kilos (350gm), the Android 5.0 gadget contains a lovely black leather-based patterning design. There’s also a 5MP front-facing camera for all you selfie enthusiasts. The tablet has a price tag of $130 and is available for pre-order at Adorama. But a higher-end version with a faster processor, more RAM, and other premium specs is coming soon.
