Now, we know there wasn’t any cars back in stone age, or guns, for that matter. Although its Stone Age setting clearly deviates from the themes of other “Far Cry” games, the game still falls in line with the action-adventure aspect of the franchise.
Far Cry game is a multistudio effort, managed by Ubisoft Montreal which led to the last two games in the series, and is in collaboration with the publisher’s in Toronto, Shanghai and Kiev offices.
Revealed earlier this week, Far Cry Primal promises to take you back to a time when man was definitely not at the top of the food chain in the untamed land of Oros.
“Far Cry Primal” is scheduled to come out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles on February 23, 2016.
The Far Cry series has always involved the player interacting with the wilderness, hunting animals for resources, prowling around for secrets, and doing reconnaissance of various types, but the primary focus of the games has always been on the narrative interactions between the player and the enemy human characters, and never the wildlife as a main antagonist. The developer comes up with the idea to a downloadable parody of 1980s movies with Blood Dragon in the months after Far Cry 3’s release, but they never expect this one to take things a little more seriously.
Where exactly in the world Far Cry Primal takes place is unknown at this time since the trailer shows lush forests as well as snowcapped mountains. “The Stone Age is, in a way, the very first frontier for humankind”. The official game trailer was revealed 24 hours later, showing Takkar working with a group of hunters as if he were part of a tribe to hunt down a mammoth.
