U.S. and Russian Federation will meet to avoid aerial encounters over Syria
“Russia’s actions in Syria are meant to contribute to preserving the territorial and political integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic, thereby contributing to the stability and security in the region, which, in turn, borders the Republic of Turkey”.
There have been no plans to deploy the force though the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation secretary general, Jens Stoltenberg, proposed Syrian incursions or future Russian should deter into land that is Turkish.
Russian Federation and the USA are expected to hold military talks over Syria, where both countries have been conducting airstrikes against Islamic State (IS) militants, as soon as this weekend, the Pentagon said. Shoigu also said Russian Federation has carried out 112 airstrikes on IS positions since September 30. And he’s ruled out any broader cooperation or coordination with Russian Federation as long as Moscow continues to strike targets other than the Islamic State militants in Syria.
The U.S.is overhauling its approach to fighting the Islamic State in Syria, abandoning a failed Pentagon effort to build a new ground force of moderate rebels and instead partnering with established rebel groups, officials said Friday. “On the contrary, there were statements that the sanctions issue is not being discussed in any way in the context of the Syrian events”, Peskov said.
Analysts said while the warning laid bare Erdogan´s rage over the Russian air bombardment on Syria and violation of Turkey´s airspace, breaking Turkish dependence on Kremlin energy supplies was a near impossible task.
According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 16 IS terrorists, including three child soldiers, were killed in French raids, which hit “a training camp” on the southern edges of Raqa. He said the advance covered an area of over 16 kilometres (10 miles), and was a co-ordinated, multipronged attack, the boldest in the area in months.
“We are concerned that Russian Federation is continuing to target non-extremists in Syria, demonstrating that they deem propping up the Assad regime as more important than countering ISIL”.
The Pentagon wants an agreement on safety precautions in order to make sure there are no conflicts, misunderstandings or other problems as the U.S.-led coalition and the Russians fly over Syria. One of the officials said the number of missiles that went off course was four.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin says it does not know of such reports.
