William Carvalho: ‘Arsenal are my dream club’
Manchester United target William Carvalho has hinted that he is considering a potential move to join Arsenal, according to reports from the Express.
Carvalho now has just over two and a half years left on his Sporting contract and the club is soon expected to open talks over a new deal for the £30million-rated star.
Nevertheless, Carvalho is targeting a Portuguese league title with Sporting first, but has revealed his fondness for the Gunners and their legendary former player Thierry Henry.
The 23-year-old has now claimed that he would love to move to Arsenal in the future and that he has “always” been a fan of the north London club.
“I dream of winning the Primeira Liga here”, he said.
Nolito’s star billing has rapidly increased in recent times, scoring five goals in seven appearances in La Liga this term, per WhoScored.com, also providing three assists.
“Because of a player who was I very fond of, in this case I wear the number of him: Thierry Henry, a player with whom I always empathised too”.
The Portugal worldwide, 23, has been linked with a move to the Premier League in previous transfer windows.
Wenger has kept huge faith on young Francis Coquelin in the holding midfield role, but with Flamini and Arteta not getting any younger, it remains to be seen whether the Arsenal boss is willing to spend big money on Carvalho next summer.
