Neymar says he wants to keep making history at Barcelona
Barcelona star Neymar has claimed he wants “to continue making history” at Camp Nou as he is “very happy” both at the club and in the Catalan city.
Manchester United are interested in the superstar and informed Barcelona of their interest in the Brazilian, as per Mundo Deportivo.
“We had conversations, but there was nothing concrete, I heard that there were offers, but none made it to me”, Neymar said in an interview with ESPN Brazil.
Neymar is convinced he silenced his critics who felt he would fail in Barcelona.
Following a hard first season at the Camp Nou in 2013-14, Neymar formed part of a lethal front three last term alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, with the trio registering 122 goals between them in the league, cup and on the European stage.
“We had a great season winning the Treble, and this [season] is more hard”. Messi and Suárez? I think we surprised people.
He said: “I hope to make history, continue to make history here in Barcelona, win spectacular things, another Champions League, La Liga, and continue doing my job”.
Speaking on himself and his future, Neymar added that he is targeting more trophies with Barcelona this season: “My adaptation to the team has come quite easily. I did get a lot of help – from the Club, my teammates, the city, my family…” he added.
He’s yet to hit his mid-twenties and has already played 67 times for Brazil, won the Copa del Rey, La Liga and Champions League as well as being the top scorer in Europe’s premier club competition last term, netting ten goals in twelve games on the way to the title.
“We are going to do our best to be the only team to do that”.
He told the official FC Barcelona website: “We have quality, we have a great team, quality players and we can win another Champions League in a row”.
‘Messi has helped me a lot since I joined Barcelona.
