Russian Federation says Islamic State implicated in foiled terror plot
The FSB agency in a press release let go on Monday. didn’t allege what number of people have been detained, still stated two stated in that they had been educated by Islamic State militants & have been plotting a terrorist attack on Moscow’s public transport.
The structure of the explosive device was similar to the ones used in the Ankara bombing yet, according to the available information, suicide bombers were behind the explosions in the Turkish capital city and a mobile phone was supposed to set off the bomb in Moscow, he said.
“Some of these people underwent training in Islamic State camps in Syria”, Interfax news agency quoted the Federal Security Service (FSB) as saying.
Those arrested are Russian nationals; they had arrived in Russia before the Russian Aerospace Forces began carrying out airstrikes in Syria.
But their arrests will be seen by the Kremlin as supporting its argument that the intervention is necessary to keep home-grown extremist militants at bay.
A few Russians have argued, however, that Putin’s actions could make Russia a target of revenge attacks.
“At least three of the ten detainees come from Syria”, he said.
“Moreover, it has increased specifically in Moscow”, he told the radio station Echo Moskvy.
Moscow says its ongoing campaign against militant groups in Syria could thwart terrorist attacks against Russian Federation and several other nations. The twin bombings that targeted a peace rally in the Turkish capital killed more than 100 people.
