Schneiderlin explains the key difference between being at Manchester United
Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been dreaming of what might have been had the club signed this Spanish superstar, after the latest comments from the former Barcelona man.
Speaking ahead of France’s worldwide fixture against Denmark, midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin claimed that he was coming to terms with Louis van Gaal’s rotation philosophy at Manchester United.
He had floodlights installed so players can prepare for evening games, trees were planted to deflect wind and a pitch with identical dimensions to Old Trafford was laid – groundsmen are even told to cut the grass to the same length.
“I think it’s always an honour to play for your country”.
It was no surprise the likes of Brendan Rodgers and Laurent Blanc could not compete with Van Gaal, though, considering the summer before the Dutch manager included Memphis in his World Cup squad. I like him as a coach.
“I had a very good relationship with him“.
“If we have good keepers, we don’t have to go looking elsewhere for them“. Manchester doesn’t play like that’.
Not only that, but the Spaniard has also not be allowed to be part of United’s team photograph, or train with their U21s either. But if you looked down the years, the teams that have won the Premier League have generally counter-attacked with pace.
Before the match Van Gaal praised Arsenal as “technically and tactically the best team in the league” and it turned out to be quite the premonition. Both Blackett and McNair have shown resilience in the defence while Wilson scored three goals for the first team so far.
And this is not to say he was exclusively to blame for Sunday’s collapse at The Emirates, as hardly anyone did anything worthy of wearing the United shirt, but when others are well below par, you’d expect the club captain to step up and do something about it. Instead we saw what was Rooney’s worst performance in a long time (yes, he was THAT bad). “His passing is not great, he’s been giving away the ball cheaply”.
“They are capable of challenging if they buy a defender…”
United will definitely have one eye on the fixture that following weekend, as United’s infamous “noisy neighbours” Manchester City roll up to Old Trafford.
