Arkansas’ Bret Bielema seems to instigate penalty against Alabama
Late Sunday night, Pelham (Ala.) High School coach Anthony Jacks posted a clip to Twitter that shows Arkansas coach Bret Bielema going out of his way to make contact with Robinson before flopping backwards.
During Arkansas’ loss to Alabama on Saturday, Crimson Tide offensive lineman Cam Robinson and Razorbacks defensive end Hjalte Froholdt got tangled near Bielema on the sideline.
The Razorbacks lost this past weekend to Alabama 27-14, falling to 2-3 on the season.
On October 9, 2010, you’ll recall Bret’s Badgers tried a two-point conversion against the Gophers while leading 41-16 with less than seven minutes to play. Other Arkansas players engaged Robinson after he picked himself off the ground and Bielema stepped in front of him. It appears Bielema is trying to break things up.
He then feigned a shove from Robinson, which drew the flag, and led to an immediate jig of sorts from the Arkansas heel coach. Then he does a big celebration on the field.
Maybe Bielema should spend less time getting into it with opposing players and more time finding ways to, you know, beat them.
