Microsoft Surface Book Price, Release Date & More

Microsoft confirmed that Windows 10 Mobile will be rolled out in December this year.

Meanwhile, the Surface Pro 4 has been announced to rival the Apple iPad Pro.

The new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has a bigger display – 12.3 inches – but is the same size as the Surface Pro 3. The Surface book features a 13.5-inch display and it detaches from its dynamic fulcrum hinge, and can be used as a Windows 10 tablet without the rest of the computer.

After all, didn’t Microsoft design its Surface line to replace the laptop? It’s targeted directly at the Macbook Pro market, for users who want a laptop powerful enough to play a few games or edit some videos. Although it is a welcome development that Lumia devices will be running Windows 10 mobile, Microsoft, however, did not give a specific time frame as to when would the Windows 10 Mobile will be rolled out to the existing devices.

Microsoft is also set to launch its phone-laptop hybrid in the Microsoft Device event which will reveal its beta version for the customer preview and will be powered by Windows 10 for smart phones and tablet. GDDR5, GPU, and NVIDIA GeForce on the other hand, are optional for the Microsoft Surface Book.

The Surface Book will be officially launched on October 26, with pre-orders available from October 7. “We now begin a new chapter with new devices built for Windows 10 from us and our partners”. Microsoft debuted two new high-end Lumia smartphones – both sporting 20-megapixel cameras and Qualcomm Snapdragon processors – and a redesigned Microsoft Band, with a new altimeter sensor, and Cortana improvements.

Also, each experience is independent and uninterrupted, which means that while you are using desktop, you can still navigate your phone as per usual by going back to the start menu and open up another app.

Microsoft said it’s not trying to be a hardware company, but it’s certainly encroaching on Apple’s territory slightly with the Surface Book.
