Rihanna reveals artwork for new album
Rihanna unveiled details about her new album titled “ANTI” on October. 7, Wednesday, at the Mama Gallery in Los Angeles.
The unveiling of the cover has given fans a renewed sense of hope that the release is just around the corner but fans may need to wait a little longer, however, as no release date for Anti has been revealed as of yet.
As a video of the event revealed, the artwork was done by Roy Nachum, a New York-based Israeli artist.
The art, which she called her “favourite” cover ever, features a childhood photograph of Rihanna holding a balloon, with her eyes covered by a gold crown.
That same night Rihanna made sure to hop on Instagram and give her fans a litte insight on the chosen title.
In the meanwhile, Rihanna tweeted the real meaning of her new album “ANTI” which is “A person opposed to a particular policy, activity, or idea”.
Also included in the album packaging for Anti, Nachum explains that he recreated a portion of his Fire series with Rihanna by first sculpting a few of Rihanna’s favorite poetry in Braille before burning the surrounding frame to create charcoal that would later be used by Rihanna during a blind interaction with the artwork.
Rihanna is one of the hottest musicians in the game right now. “Being humble and being appreciative, I think this is one of the main connections we have”.
Rihanna’s new album “ANTI” is expected to hit the market sometime in the fall.
