Cinemax debuts new trailer for Robert Kirkman’s Outcast
When Robert Kirkman isn’t busy overseeing his Walking Dead empire, he moonlights on Outcast, his comic-book series about demonic possession.
It’s no surprise that Cinemax invested in the comic book, as Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead has been massively successful and spawned two shows and several video games.
Here’s a synopsis: The series follows Kyle Barnes, a young man who has been plagued by demonic possession all his life.
Given that Cinemax released the first trailer for their show Outcast back in July to coincide with the San Diego Comic Con, it’s only fitting that they released a new trailer over the weekend to coincide with the New York Comic Con.
Patrick Fugit (Gone Girl, nearly Famous) stars as Kyle Barnes, the fundamental character in Outcast. Now, with the help of a country preacher called Reverend Anderson, Kyle embarks on a journey for a normal life.
Outcast centers on Kyle Barnes, a man who has watched his family and loved ones succumb to demonic possession since his childhood. Philip Glenister stars as Reverend Anderson, a West Virginia evangelist who believes he is a soldier in God’s holy war against the forces of evil on Earth.
The series will debut in the United States of America on Cinemax and internationally on Fox in 2016. The unpleasant trailer may not sound good to the individuals who have not yet read the Outcast funnies, but rather for comic fans, there is a bounty to see.
