The Witcher 3’s Physical Hearts of Stone Expansion Delayed in NA
Also, a press release states that the next DLC for the game is coming later than initially thought.
On the eve of launch, CD Projekt Red has announced that the limited edition copies of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt’s Hearts of Stone expansion – originally planned to ship today in tandem with the DLC’s launch – will hit retail shelves “several days” later than expected.
The current iteration for the series, “The Witcher 3”, will be unlocking its first-ever paid DLC, “Hearts of Stone”.
Opening up a new area and including ten hours of new gameplay, Hearts of Stone was released today and pits Geralt against new monsters and an immortal enemy.
“Dear North American gamers, as you might have heard, we prepared a special boxed edition of “Hearts of Stone” that was supposed to be sold in GameStop stores all over America”, wrote CD Projekt Red.
The forum post goes on to apologise for the inconvenience, and that the developer is working with GameStop to resolve the situation. For those who do not want to wait for however long this will take, the developer has suggested that fans purchase the expansion digitally and then redeem their codes for the Gwent Cards. Although the base game “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” itself is already a massive open-world exploration role-playing game, the new DLC will greatly expand both content and story for the current title. It is available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC for download worldwide. If you’re curious about the depth of the new expansion, CD PROJEKT RED stated that “Hearts of Stone” should offer “over 10 hours of new adventures”.
