Hawks come from behind to defeat Pelicans 103-93
Thankfully that comes to an end in the next preseason game, as the Pelicans-Bulls matchup on Monday will be broadcast on NBATV.
The Pelicans take on another Eastern Conference team in their second game, as they return to Jacksonville once again for a preseason contest.
Cape Verde worldwide Walter Tavares continues pave the best way for his National Basketball Association debut because the Atlanta Hawks beat the New Orleans…
Tavares has played a few effective minutes for the Hawks in two exhibition games – much to the delight of teammates.
On the other hand, Anthony Davis, who is largely tipped for the MVP of the upcoming season, led the Pelicans (1-1) with 20 points in 26 minutes. He had missed Saturday’s opener at Indiana with a knee contusion.
The Hawks ended the game with balanced scoring across the board.
Jrue Holiday delivered a similar performance to his game vs. the Pacers, this time notching seven points and three rebounds in 10 minutes. “I noticed when I drove to the basket they were so spread out that I had easy layups to the basket”. “There are a few things that we’ve been talking about in practice, areas where we want to improve, you see a few good”. One of the things that’s going to be a big question is that when he doesn’t have that (opportunity to attack), we have to get him to the point where he moves (the ball) on to the next guy. Defensively I thought we were really solid in the first half, but in the second half we had a few slippage. “We’ve got to rebound so we can run the floor”. Gentry often mentioned during the offseason that New Orleans has a large stable of unsafe three-point marksmen, but early in preseason, they haven’t found their stroke.
