Mired in an offensive slump, the 49ers lost their third consecutive game Sunday in 17-3 fashion against the undefeated Green Bay Packers at Levi s Stadium.

Smith made two catches Sunday and was visibly frustrated on the field for much of the afternoon. “I’m going to protect the throws myself so we can protect the ball as an offense”. That’s what we were doing.

Rodgers admitted after the game that the offense didn’t click like it usually does, and it’s fair to wonder whether the Packers offense has sustained one too many injuries to be dominant.
