Returning soldier’s daughter can’t contain herself
Daniel Oglesby finally returned home after an eight-month deployment in Kuwait – and no one was more excited to see him than his daughter, three-year-old Karis.
Karas Oglesby couldn’t wait to greet her daddy; so much so that she even broke military protocol to race into his arms.
“Being gone for eight months – it’s tough”.
Then, the determined little girl runs back to her mother and sister.
Daniel Oglesby bends down to give his young daughter a hug, before sending her back to her seat. I was so happy to see my awesome little girl.
He told KKTV11 after the ceremony: “She spotted me from a couple of rows back”.
“Whatever they want, I’ll get it for them”.
Oglesby said it is hard to be away, but it’s all worth it.
The video has been viewed nearly one million times since being posted to KKTV’s Facebook page Tuesday.
According to the Colorado Springs Gazette nearly 300 soldiers returned from the Middle East over the past week.
Ogleby said that he was not anxious about breaking the strict formation when Karis ran to him.
According to an official press release, the troops were also involved in military operations across the region.
