Anthony Ogogo is second celebrity to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing
The weather presenter and her partner Pasha had been at the bottom of the leaderboard after a lacklustre quickstep, but Strictly voters kept the sun shining for the BBC Breakfast favourite.
After the couples had danced a second time the judges made a decision to save Ainsley, meaning Anthony was out.
Both couples performed their routines again; Harriott and Lowe did their Cha Cha to Boogie Wonderland from the movie Happy Feet and Ogogo and Mabuse performed their Paso Doble to Eye of the Tiger from the movie Rocky 3 in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.
The couple, who met in swimming class aged seven but began dating at 15, also spoke about how Ogogo’s career choice affects their sex life.
Now, over the weekend it seems The X Factor may well have gained a very unlikely competitor in the form of the BBC’s Countryfile.
Bruno agreed with Craig and Darcey, meaning Ainsley Harriott and Natalie Lowe were safely through to next week.
An X Factor source said: “The show is consolidating with nine or ten million viewers each week which is still a huge audience and advertisers are still queuing up to promote their products on the ad breaks”. I want to thank Oti she has been wonderful.
‘I think when you’re up against Jay McGuiness who’s done ballet, and Helen George who’s done ballet, and Peter Andre who’s been a popstar, it’s very, very hard to compete with those guys, ‘ he said.
‘She’s doing well now but I don’t know how I would have got through it without Casey’.
He said: “I did not think that the BBC would put us together because we’re black or mixed race”.
Oti added: “I’m so proud of him”.
An average of 8 million watched the latest Strictly Come Dancing results between 7:15PM and 8PM, up 200,000 on last week.
However, Mabuse didn’t hold any sort of grudge against Ogogo.
