Patriots-Cowboys Injury Report: Dallas Linebacker Sean Lee Listed As Probable
The Patriots (4-0) weren’t the same offensive juggernaut as in their first three games, but New England did more than enough coming off a bye week to wear down the undermanned Cowboys. It wasn’t easy early. Dallas sacked Tom Brady five times in the first half.
Hardy made headlines in his first public comments since signing with Dallas by making a reference to guns and commenting on Brady’s wife after the NFL suspended him because they believed he roughed up an ex-girlfriend with semi-automatic rifles in plain view in his apartment.
With the game far out of reach, Brandon Weeden had Terrance Williams wide open for a consolation touchdown when Tony Romo’s replacement badly overthrew Dez Bryant’s understudy.
Brady guided two long touchdown drives in the second half after getting sacked five times before halftime, including once each by Greg Hardy and Rolando McClain in their returns from four-game suspensions.
The Super Bowl champions won their seventh straight game, including the playoffs last season. The Cowboys lost their third in a row without Romo and Bryant, both sidelined by injuries.
His 59-yard scoring pass to Edelman put New England up 27-6 early in the fourth. The receiving combination of Cole Beasley, Terrance Williams, Devin Street and Lucky Whitehead combined for eight receptions and 80 yards.
New England Patriots’ Stephen Gostkowski (3) celebrates after he kicked a 57-yard field goal against the Dallas Cowboys during the first half of an NFL football game, Sunday, October11, 2015, in Arlington, Texas. He came in averaging 371 per game for the NFL’s No. 1 offense.
Bill Belichick spoke highly of his team’s “total team effort” in a 30-6 win over the Cowboys today, and said the offense’s increased production in the second half was a matter of constant adjustment rather than anything done at halftime. Running back Dion Lewis capped the march with a 10-yard catch on a Brady pass.
The Cowboys stuck with Weeden, who was 26 of 39 for 188 mostly meaningless yards.

Dallas led Atlanta by two touchdowns three times before fading in the second half of Weeden’s first start after Romo’s injury. His previous long was 54.
The rushing TD was the first for Brady since December16, 2012, when he had the last of his career-high four that season.
