Dakota Johnson and Kristen Bell –In the news for all the right reasons

Don Johnson’s daughter,Dakota Johnson, will play Anastasia Steele in the movie version of Fifty Shades of Grey.

The screenplay, based on the bestseller penned by E L James will see Dakota reprise the role of a twenty four year old woman in a non-traditional relationship. Her father, Don Johnson, who has been busy in promotional activities for his movie Cold in July was asked about his opinion on the role.

He started off by saying that this was the family business and that he had no doubts in her abilities. He said that she has the skill to take what people consider inappropriate and make it spectacular. As per him,she was a very gifted actor and this role will be equal to her performances in movies like 21 Jump Street, Need For Speed and the Five Year Engagement.

Dakota has been paired alongside Jami Dornan. Dornan will play Christian Grey the dominating personality in the book. However, her father  said that he may not watch the movie. As per him, it falls in the categories of movies that do not interest him like Twilight and Vampire Diaries. However, Dakota’s mother, Melanie Griffith may  be ready to see the same. When the announcement about the role was made, she tweeted her joy at Dakota landing the role under the hash tag  proud mama.

A recent statement released by Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard stated that the couple were expecting their second child. The couple already has a daughter who is fifteen months old. Married in October 2013, the couple’s daughter was born in March last year. The actress said that she loved the feeling of being a mother . Recently she stated that she likes to be hand-on with her family and that she misses her daughter when she is not there at home.
