Carly Fiorina raises $7 million after strong debate performances

Hillary’s immediate task is to win the nomination of her party and by almost every recent poll she has little or nothing to worry about.

These candidates include the likes of Republicans Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina and Jeb Bush (to name a few). A simple red “Carly” sticker now adorns the tailgate of Robertson’s 1967 gunmetal grey Chevrolet pick-up truck.

“There’s a graciousness to her, a warmth”, she remarked. Plus, she’s at the top of the large Republican group.

“On a state level, a state as big as many countries in the world, and it has not had the ill effects that Republicans are saying it will have”, she said.

“They’re fine with big government when it comes to that”, Clinton said, referencing Congressional attempts to defund Planned Parenthood.

While it is not clear whether Clinton’s former female supporters are defecting to Fiorina’s camp, Clinton’s loss of support among women has created an opening that Fiorina is eager to fill. She also spent months at the bottom of the polls, but she has since moved up to the second or third position in most surveys, according to Reuters.

The Republican Party has not been successful at appealing to women voters, who are more likely to vote Democratic. After winning the election of 2010 and 2014, the GOP voters find themselves sold out by John Boehner and Mitch McConnell’s refusal to stand effectively against President Obama. After a smashing performance in the second debate, she soared into second place with 15 percent (CNN, September 17-19). Last year, an assessment commissioned by the U.S. Department of Labor found that – thanks to the paid leave law – many more low-income parents were able to take leave. Her campaign announced the number Tuesday.

“I think, honestly, it’s a gesture”, Fiorina responded. She’s never been running on the “elect me because I’m a woman” ticket, though I’m sure her team isn’t terribly unhappy if that helps.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) supports it too, with Sen.

Her Democratic competitors echoed her sentiments. Marco Rubio, who saw his fundraising drop over the summer, USA Today reports, collecting about $6 million during the July-to-September quarter, and Kentucky Sen. She had raised just $1.7 million between her campaign kickoff in early May and the end of June and has been relying heavily on outside money.

But then everyone got caught up on her weird Planned Parenthood fantasy, in which she insisted a Center for Medical Progress video shows “a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking, while someone says, ‘We have to keep it alive to harvest its brain'”.
